Abstract
O presente trabalho visa enfatizar a importância que tem a preservação das provas apuradas durante uma investigação criminal, desde sua colheita pela polícia até a sua entrega à autoridade judiciária para que se produza uma decisão nos limites da legalidade. Destarte, é sobre a fiabilidade das provas que compõem a cadeia de custódia que trata este artigo.
