Abstract
Diante do quadro caótico no sistema prisional de Manaus, e a crescente consolidação do crime organizado nos presídios da capital. Pretendemos fazer uma reflexão sobre as origens das crises no sistema prisional através dos séculos, e seus desdobramentos na sociedade atual, a fim de que este instrumento acadêmico gere inquietação intelectual para outros estudos.
