Abstract
O presente artigo traz uma discussão a respeito do modelo dicotomizado de polícia no Brasil adotado nos Estados Federadose os reflexos de paradigmas jurídicos que juntamente com outros interesses existentes, mantêm esse modelo em detrimento da eficiência e promoção de políticas públicas eficazes na Segurança Pública.
