Abstract
O presente trabalho visa tratar o cumprimento das penas, visando mostrar a sua evolução histórica, como também o princípio da dignidade da pessoa humana. Há de se tratar ainda o cumprimento de pena no Brasil, a Lei n° 7.210/1984 (Lei de Execução Penal), os direitos dos presos, a APAC sob sua implementação e funcionamento e por final, falar sobre a capacidade de detentos nos estabelecimentos penais, na cidade de Paracatu – MG.
