Abstract

Objective: To raise the most common points of diagnosis and treatment regimens for metastatic prostate cancer. Bibliographic review: Prostatic neoplasia continues to be considered one of the crucial reasons for morbidity and mortality. Several studies have shown the relevance of epigenetic aberrations, especially DNA mutilation in prostate cancer, the resistance to castration of metastatic prostate cancer, progresses to permanence to androgen receptor signaling inhibitors through changes in mechanisms, involving the emergence of the active variant AR V7. The progress of epithelial cells and their receptors is shown in the prostate that has cancerous tissue, and that the amounts of manifestations of these proteins correlate with survival rates. Final considerations: The metastatic prostate cancer is the second neoplasm that causes death in advanced countries, with 174.650 cases in the United States in the year 2019, it is undoubted based on a wide variety of complex models that not always all cancer cells are of pluripotential character, for individuals with non-metastatic neoplasia there are many varieties of therapies such as surgery, radiotherapy, brachytherapy, hormonal management with the option of radiotherapy.
