Abstract
Objective: To indicate which interventions were adopted by Nursing to treat patients affected by SARS-CoV-2 who were experiencing hypoxemia and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), in whom the severity and prevalence of the disease led to Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). Bibliographic review: During the literature review, the objective was selecting information about interventions, in order to understand which prophylactic measures and treatments came to be the most effective in patients with COVID-19 and risk of DVT, as well, reaffirming nursing and it's role in the pandemics scenario, with its scientific methodologies. Nursing has done a directed approach to patient care, aiming to minimize the risks caused by drugs. Some care performed were: lower members compression, massage, activity and rest, nutrition and hydration, for the proper hydric balance, among other activities provided by Systematization of Nursing Care. Final considerations: Students, professionals and institutions need continuing education about methodologies adopted for pathology treatments and prophylaxis, in order to provide the best conditions to the patient, focusing on multidisciplinary, so that the team can promote holistic, humanized and dignified care.
