Abstract
Objective: Describe the experience of a nursing student in simulating and implementing the nursing process in patients with symptoms of acute myocardial infarction. Experience report: This is an experience report carried out by a nursing student during a realistic simulation that took place at a private university in the city of Salvador – BA, in which the implementation of the nursing process occurred in cases of patients with AMI symptoms. The data for carrying out the nursing process were made available through a case study that contained information from a patient. Several steps were essential to carry out this simulation. It is well known that the increase in the number of cardiovascular diseases stands out for being one of the main causes of deaths in Brazil. In this way, a realistic simulation was carried out to improve the students' skills and apply the AMI mnemonic MONABCH as a way to minimize symptoms and prevent other complications. Final considerations: In short, the importance of realistic simulation in the student training process is essential, as a way of developing skills, as well as the method of applying the implementation of the nursing process as a way of planning and executing health actions. aimed at patients with AMI.
