Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of using L-PRF (Fibrin rich in platelets and leukocytes) for the repair of sockets following the extraction of impacted canines. Case details: The patient presented to a dental clinic seeking prosthetic rehabilitation. During the anamnesis, relevant aspects of the medical history, systemic diseases, and potential drug allergies were investigated. The patient denied any significant systemic conditions or history of allergic reactions to medications. Clinical evaluation included intra- and extraoral examinations, and complementary tests were requested and analyzed. The presence of impacted teeth (23 and 43) was observed, which required extraction for the prosthetic rehabilitation plan. Final considerations: As an autogenous material, L-PRF offers several benefits for bone and tissue healing, promoting faster and more comfortable recovery. Its application proved effective, exceeding expectations by facilitating accelerated healing free of swelling and pain.
