Abstract
This article aimed to report the experience of an inter-unit and multiprofessional team of the activity, “Health Circuit”, developed in the University Program of the State University of Campinas. This program is intended for the elderly population with the purpose of keeping them physically and mentally active with a variety of programs aimed at promoting, preventing health and socializing. The “Health Circuit” takes place twice a year to assess health conditions that interfere with the well-being of the elderly. In three years, it was evaluated that this activity was positive to detect abnormal parameters, guide lifestyle change and break paradigms that involve living in old age. It is concluded that the coexistence and socialization provided through a network of relationships, in which friendships are made that encourage adherence and participation in various activities (manual work, orientation, dance, singing, physical exercise) improve health and consequently the quality of life of the elderly.
