Abstract
Objective: To conduct an epidemiological analysis of Burnout Syndrome throughout the state of Paraíba, highlighting its health impacts and the social and occupational implications arising from this condition. Methods: This is a quantitative, documentary, and retrospective study based on secondary data obtained from the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN/SUS) for the year 2025. Records of work-related mental disorders throughout the state of Paraíba were analyzed through the TABNET/DATASUS platform. Results: Reports of 44 Burnout cases were identified, with a predominance of females (72.7%) and a higher concentration in the cities of Campina Grande and João Pessoa. The most affected age group was between 31 and 50 years. A high rate of temporary disability and low confirmed cure were observed, indicating emotional overload and depression, a lack of preventive strategies, and weaknesses in the reporting systems. Conclusion: Burnout syndrome represents a growing public health problem in Paraíba. The data reveal the need for public policies focused on prevention, promoting psychological well-being, and improving working conditions to reduce the physical, mental, and social impacts of the syndrome.
