Abstract

Abstract: This article aimed to identify the scientific productions about the risk factors for pressure injuries in adult patients admitted to an Intensive Care Unit in Brazil. The increase in the number of patients who develop pressure injuries (LPP) during hospitalization has raised increasing concerns among health professionals, especially regarding the recognition of risk factors that lead an individual to develop the condition. It is an Integrative Literature Review (RIL). A multifactorial group is involved in the LPP process, which involves nutritional, psychological, movement limitation and even the care provided by health professionals. Pressure injuries are still a frequent and multifactorial injury in health institutions and are raising increasing concerns among health professionals, especially in recognizing the risk factors that lead an individual to develop the injury, as well as the effective means.
