Abstract
Objective: To describe the adversities experienced in the daily life of celiac patients, in order to outline the main factors responsible for the difficulties encountered in the health and well-being of the group, in order to facilitate the creation of interventions that benefit the affected individuals. Bibliographic Review: From gathering the base data of each selected article, it was possible to conclude that the main enabling and limiting factor in the context surrounding celiac disease is the dissemination of knowledge on the topic, which is currently very limited. This was illustrated in a study that showed that only 15% of health professionals who underwent research were familiar with the celiac patient care protocol. In this sense, it is extremely important to disseminate information that can help individuals with this condition, as well as inform the general population about this reality, in order to enable the creation of more inclusive menus and products aimed at this audience. Final considerations: In conclusion, faced with a dynamic context and growing relevance in the Brazilian population, it is interesting to carry out more research to update and expand knowledge on the subject. immune system, the possible points of clinical intervention, as well as the potential challenges related to the effects of the Celiac Diet faced by individuals with Celiac Disease.
