Abstract
Objective: To analyze the importance of orthodontic movements in the planning of prosthetic rehabilitation, with a focus on biomechanical and aesthetic benefits, considering the specific needs of each patient and the selection of the most appropriate type of technique. Literature Review: The literature highlights the fundamental role of Orthodontics in creating appropriate spaces, dental alignment, and optimization of the crown-root ratio. Factors such as periodontal condition, bone support, and the position of adjacent teeth are essential in planning and treatment success. The interdisciplinary approach between Orthodontists and Prosthodontists has proven effective in achieving oral rehabilitations that require orthodontic movements with more satisfactory aesthetic and functional results. Moreover, it is essential that the diagnosis is accurate and the treatment plan is well structured to guarantee durability and quality of results. Final Considerations: The association between Orthodontics and Prosthetic Rehabilitation is essential for the success of the type of treatment addressed in this paper, providing more stable and lasting results. However, it is important to highlight the need for more research on this topic, as the present study was limited by the scarcity of literature.
