Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the usability of a prototype mobile application for cognitive training for elderly people. Method: This is a descriptive, cross-sectional study conducted between August and September 2024 with 20 elderly people without cognitive impairment, users of a Senior Citizens' Center in the municipality of Londrina, PR, Brazil. Usability was assessed using the validated System Usability Scale (SUS) instrument. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: Through the application of the SUS questionnaire, the usability assessment obtained a final score of 87.3 points, indicating a high level of usability on the part of the users. Conclusion: The usability assessment found that, although it is a prototype, the application presents good usability and reveals satisfaction among end users. Future research is needed to verify the effects on memory.
