Pedagogical assistance applied to hospitalized children with interrupted teaching-learning

Abstract

Objective: To describe the importance of pedagogical assistance applied to hospitalized children with interrupted teaching-learning. Methods: This is an integrative literature review, whose method included analysis of research already carried out, synthesis of knowledge and reflections on future interventions, as it allows health professionals to guide patients on how to take care of their own health, taking the necessary precautions care so that it does not have infections and, to the pedagogy professional, reflect the need to consider the growth and intellectual development of the child and its development in a set of educational needs that correspond to the stage of life. Results: It was emphasized that pedagogical monitoring of hospitalized children and young people should take place and that the state should organize itself to offer this type of service, preparing not only an adequate space, but also advising families about its importance. Final considerations: It is thus concluded that hospital pedagogy is extremely important for people who cannot continue their studies in the school environment. But for this process to happen, specialized people are needed both in the educational area and in the health area, as it is necessary to have a differentiated and complete look at the individual.
