Abstract
Objective: Report the preparation of diagnoses, expected results, and nursing care for a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Experience Report: This experience results from the mandatory supervised internship as a requirement for concluding the undergraduate course in Nursing at a public university in the Zona da Mata of Minas Gerais. It used the nursing diagnosis classification NANDA-International (NANDA-I) (2021-2023), the Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC), and scientific articles available in the literature to develop the instruments. Among twenty-three nursing diagnosis listed, four were nutrition-related; nine were skin-related; five were respiratory-related; two were safety-related; and three were psychosocial, psychomotor, and comfort-related. Of those diagnoses, nine are linked to risks. Thirty-two nursing care listed aimed at monitoring the vital conditions and clinical evolution of the newborn and, above all, protecting those neonates and preventing infections and risks. Final considerations: this activity contributed positively to students' learning process by allowing them to practice the contents learned during the undergraduate course. This material's development reinforces the importance of establishing nursing care on evidence.
