Abstract

Objective: To discuss the importance of nursing care for women with preeclampsia and what measures can be adopted to address the problem. Methods: This was a descriptive study with a qualitative approach in the format of an integrative literature review of the last six years in the databases Virtual Health Library (VHL), indexed in Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI - PUBMED) and Nursing Database (BDENF). Results: After the search process in the selected databases, a total of 271 findings were found, which after the process of identification, screening, and analytical reading, 7 articles were selected to compose the review sample. Final considerations: Despite the limitations of being a qualitative study, it was possible to highlight the importance of nursing care in the management and prevention of pre-eclampsia, in addition to identifying the main limitations related to clinical management, in which they are related to aspects of trained professionals, adequate infrastructure and the lack of inputs, which restricts the implementation of some of the measures already recommended.
