Abstract
Objective: To understand the experiences lived by students of a Technical Nursing Course, during the internship carried out in a teaching hospital, during the year 2020 since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods: Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, recorded and transcribed, in accordance with Resolution 466/12, which regulates research with human beings. Results: The results obtained demonstrated that the beginning of the internship was permeated by students' feelings of fear, insecurity and anxiety. However, in the end we realized that the knowledge acquired made it possible for them to experience new experiences in the context of the pandemic, which contributed to the formation of their professional identity. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the educational institution, and the hospital institution that offers the internship, are of fundamental importance for the training of nursing students, so that they feel more confident and prepared for professional practice.
