Abstract
Objective: To identify, analyze, and describe the impacts on the quality of life of adults after Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT). Methods: This is an integrative literature review study. The bibliographic survey was carried out in September 2024, using controlled descriptors and Boolean operators AND and OR to promote the search strategy in the LILACS, SCIELO/BVS, and PubMed databases. A total of 2,693 articles were found and, according to the inclusion criteria, 10 were selected for this study. This study was organized into three categories of well-being: physical, social, and psychological. Results: Physical well-being includes challenges such as cognitive decline and malnutrition after HSCT. In the social aspect, social support before and after transplantation proved to be crucial for quality of life. In psychological terms, factors such as self-efficacy and regret impacted the quality of life of survivors, highlighting the importance of interventions to improve post-transplant outcomes. Conclusion: It is concluded that HSCT affects physical, emotional and social aspects, such as pain, fatigue and isolation. Psychological, social and family support is essential to improve quality of life and facilitate patients' adaptation after treatment.
