Abstract

This article aimed to analyze in the literature the current evidence about the teaching of nursing undergraduates regarding the process of organ and tissue donation for transplantation. This is an Integrative Review that carried out, whose bibliographic reference bases were: Lilacs, Scielo and BDENF. The search was guided by DeCS, with a time delineation from 2010 to 2015. The results are presented in tables and tables followed by pertinent information. There was a total of 23 studies, of which 03 were repeated in more than one location, being allocated to the database that grouped more articles. Thus, of the 20 publications listed, 09 addressed the proposed theme and were selected to compose this study. The research points out that the undergraduate teaching of the Nursing Course does not allow a broad look on the theme of organ and tissue donation for transplantation. It is assumed that nurses, in order to provide optimal care to patients in MS, donor families and the procedures that permeate organ donation, need above all a holistic approach to undergraduate studies.
