Abstract
Objective: To investigate the scientific production on the factors that interfere with the health of nursing professionals in the surgical center. Bibliographic review: The adequacy of the physical structure and the best provision of support rooms, facilitates the flow of work and reduces the wear and tear of professionals. Therefore, one of the options to facilitate nurses' decision-making would be to change the layout of the surgical center, adapt work shifts according to the employee's needs, improve sizing, expand the staff of professionals, create a space for interaction and promoting events to optimize multidisciplinary communication, as well as the hospital unit providing courses and motivational lectures to improve conflict management among the team. Final considerations: As evidenced in the scientific literature, the need to improve the physical space, better communication between the nursing staff who are working in the surgical center, as well as educational actions to improve the psychological and physical state of professionals can be seen.
