Abstract
The epidemic caused by the SARS COV-2 virus has become a worldwide public health problem, spreading rapidly and becoming a pandemic. Containment issues are analyzed in all countries affected by the infection, with measures that serve to protect barriers that prevent the increase in the number of cases of infection. Thus, this article aims to identify and analyze a national and international scientific production around the containment measures used to prevent the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. For this, a bibliographic review of the literature was carried out, searching LILACS, SciELO and MEDLINE, using the keywords Epidemic; Coronavirus infections; Containment. After the searches, 27 documents were identified, although only 14 met the inclusion and exclusion criteria and it was found that studies such as containment measures addressed were social isolation, social distance, quarantine, individual and collective protective equipment, rapid testing, hygiene and community containment. In view of the research, it was evident that the main ways of containing the spread of the SARS COV-2 virus basically consist of a strategy of social isolation, the use of masks, individual and collective protection equipment and hygiene care. However, the linked implementation is directly related to society's adherence and commitment.
