Vacunación en foco y la experiencia de multiplicadores en un evento realizado en Pernambuco

Abstract

This article sought to report the experience as a multiplier - speaker on vaccination at a festival held in Pernambuco. This is a descriptive study, of the experience report type, carried out based on the experience of volunteer multipliers, as speakers of vaccination. The event was held in a metropolitan region in the state of Pernambuco, between September and October 2019. Each multiplier received training, weeks before starting activities. Soon, they were encouraged to contact institutions in order to seek an appointment to receive the proposal for lectures relevant to the theme. Approximately 400 people, including children, adults and the elderly, received the multipliers with their lectures on vaccination, in more than thirty partner institutions that agreed to participate in this event. During the festival, Brazil was also experiencing a measles vaccination campaign. Thus, the lectures directly impacted the engagement of vaccination among the population present in the actions. The voluntary multipliers were able to resolve doubts, in addition to encouraging the adherence of immunization for all ages, strengthening the vaccination campaign in Brazil.
