The lack of adequate support and lack of specialized knowledge about Alzheimer's Disease among nursing professionals and caregivers worsen the challenges of routine care. The results highlight the need for better training and support for caregivers and nursing professionals, suggesting that educational interventions and support groups can help improve quality of life and reduce the strain associated with caring for people with Alzheimer's. Conclusion: The lack of adequate support and the lack of knowledge about Alzheimer's Disease significantly aggravate the challenges faced by caregivers.
Eight studies linking ergonomic interventions and mental health in the workplace were selected. Results: The most effective interventions were participatory ergonomics, ergonomic furniture adjustments, scheduled breaks during work, acoustic and lighting improvements, and participatory ergonomic training. Participatory ergonomics stood out, with an average 42% reduction in depressive and anxiety symptoms, and was considered the most effective by the studies analyzed. Final considerations: Therefore, ergonomic practices can be considered to have a significant and effective impact not only on preventing work-related mental disorders but also on promoting occupational health more broadly. By fostering healthier, safer, and more productive work environments, these interventions contribute to reducing absences, improving workers' quality of life, and enhancing human capital within organizations.
2025-08-04T18:35:16+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://acervomais.com.br/index.php/enfermagem/article/view/21380Acquired Syphilis in Ponta Grossa (PR): epidemiological analysis and vulnerability profile (2010–2024)2025-08-04T19:43:30+00:00Fernanda Cordeiro Pinto Ribeirofercordeiropg@gmail.comDyenily Aless Slobodadyenilyas@hotmail.comCamila Delinski Betcamila.delinsk@unicesumar.edu.br
Objective: To analyze the temporal trend of acquired syphilis incidence in the municipality of Ponta Grossa, Paraná, between 2010 and 2024, considering stratification by sex and age group. Methods: This is a basic, ecological, and longitudinal study with a quantitative-qualitative approach. Secondary data were obtained from the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN), stratified by sex and age group. Results: A marked increase in reported cases was identified starting in 2015, peaking in 2022 (808 cases), followed by a slight decrease in 2023 and a sharp decline in 2024 (partial data). The highest incidence was found among men—especially from 2021 onwards—and in individuals aged 20 to 39 years. Conclusion: The findings highlight the need for intersectoral strategies focused on expanding testing, sexual education, and addressing social vulnerabilities, particularly among adolescents and young adults, to control acquired syphilis in the context of Primary Health Care.
2025-08-04T18:39:18+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://acervomais.com.br/index.php/enfermagem/article/view/21403Promotion of autonomy and active ageing: experience with older adults in primary health care2025-08-06T12:03:09+00:00Pablo Souza de Sápablo.sa@alunos.ifsuldeminas.edu.brCremilson de Paula Silvacremilsonsilvaa@gmail.comMilene Dias Ferreira Magrimilene.magri@muz.ifsuldeminas.edu.brVanildo Xavier Furtadovanildoxavier12@gmail.comDaiane de Souza Fernandesdaianef@ufpa.brGlilciane Morcelilolita_glil@yahoo.com.brLarissa Sales Martins Baquiãolarissa.martins@muz.ifsuldeminas.edu.br
The study included patients aged ≥ 60 years who had a brain death protocol initiated and were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit between 2015 and 2022. Statistical analysis was descriptive, with absolute and relative frequency distribution. Results: The sample consisted of 71 patients (59.2% female; mean age of 71.2 years). Ischemic Stroke was the most frequent cause of hospitalization (39.4%). Of the total, 85.9% had some comorbidity, predominantly Systemic Arterial Hypertension, followed by Diabetes Mellitus. The average length of hospital stay between the opening and closing of the brain death protocol was 3.1 days, with a survival rate of 56.3%. Among those who survived until the protocol closure, 40% proceeded with organ donation, while 60% did not due to family refusal or recipient incompatibility. Conclusion: There was a predominance of female patients, victims of ischemic stroke, with comorbidities and continuous use of medications.
2025-08-21T20:22:02+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##
