Os efeitos da terapia de reposição hormonal em mulheres na menopausa

Resumo

Objetivo: Expor os principais efeitos da terapia de reposição hormonal em diferentes sistemas do organismo feminino pós menopausa. Métodos: Revisão integrativa da literatura por meio de pesquisa bibliografica de abordagem qualitativa e caráter descritivo utilizando as bases de dados National Library of Medicine (PubMed)e Bivlioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS). “Hormone Replacement Therapy” e “Menopause” foram os descritores utilizados, na lingua inglesa, que estão nos Descritores de Ciências da Saúde. Resultados: Todos os artigos revisados ​​avaliaram benefícios e malefícios da prescrição de terapia de reposição hormonal em mulheres na pós-menopausa, produzindo um estudo de possíveis melhoras ou resultados negativos da medicação em vários cenários clínicos. Considerações finais: O estudo proposto considerou que a terapia de reposição hormonal apresenta riscos e benefícios que devem ser avaliados anteriormente a prescrição de qualquer tipo de hormônio. Mulheres que já apresentam sintomas graves e moderados principalmente de xerostomia, sintomas vulvovaginais e vasomotores, pode-se fazer necessário a utilização da terapia para melhora da qualidade de vida, devido à comprovação de sua eficácia. Para isso deve-se individualizar e realizar consultas periódicas para avaliação da melhora das queixas e nova conduta, caso seja possível a suspensão do medicamento.
