Inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied for the selection of articles, totaling 23 selected articles. Results: The selection showed that laparoscopy was the most performed surgery and presents several benefits compared to laparotomy. The laparoscopy surgery besides the peri operative advantages, this type of surgery has post operative advantages as well. It is necessary, however, to have more careful during the surgery due to growth of the uterus and the chance of perforating it. Even with smaller numbers, laparotomy shows some considerations, although, less relevant and even more complications. Final Considerations: Thus, it is observed that laparoscopic surgery is the most accepted procedure and the most performed in pregnant women with acute appendicitis, due to showing better outcomes.
