El impacto del diagnóstico temprano del TDAH en el desarrollo infantil

Resumen

Objetivo: Evaluar el impacto del diagnóstico precoz del Trastorno por Déficit de Atención con Hiperactividad en el desarrollo infantil. Métodos: El enfoque metodológico de este trabajo propone una recopilación de investigaciones bibliográficas con un enfoque cualitativo, retrospectivo y transversal realizado a través de una revisión integrativa de la literatura. Las bases de datos utilizadas fueron la Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina (PubMed) y la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud (BVS). La búsqueda de artículos se realizó utilizando los descriptores: “déficit de atención con hiperactividad”, “trastorno”, “diagnóstico precoz”, “niños” y “desarrollo”. Hubo el uso de filtros de búsqueda como artículos de acceso abierto, artículos publicados en inglés y portugués. Se incluyeron artículos originales, ensayos clínicos aleatorizados y no aleatorizados, estudios de casos y controles y estudios de cohortes. Además, el marco temporal de publicación de 2018 a 2022 fue un criterio de inclusión. Resultados: Los 15 artículos seleccionados evalúan los impactos del TDAH en la primera infancia y cómo estos desarrollos podrían evitarse si se realiza un diagnóstico temprano. Se evaluaron los resultados de los trabajos seleccionados y las conclusiones varían según la edad, el momento del diagnóstico y las intervenciones terapéuticas. En general, se encontró que la sospecha temprana sumada a la terapia adecuada puede beneficiar el desarrollo de este grupo. Consideraciones finales: Así, el diagnóstico precoz del TDAH es capaz de alterar positivamente el desarrollo de niños y adolescentes.
