O papel da vitamina E no tratamento da doença hepática gordurosa não alcoólica

Resumo

Objetivo: Explorar os dados clínicos disponíveis sobre a suplementação da vitamina E no tratamento da Doença Hepática Gordurosa Não Alcoólica (DGHNA). Métodos: Este estudo consiste em uma revisão integrativa da literatura, que foi conduzida por meio de uma busca abrangente de artigos em bancos de dados eletrônicos, incluindo PubMed, Medline e Science Direct. A pesquisa foi realizada utilizando combinações de palavras-chave em inglês, como "Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease", "supplementation", "treatment" e "vitamin E". A triagem dos artigos foi baseada na data de publicação, abrangendo os últimos 5 anos de pesquisas sobre o tema e o tratamento da DGHNA com vitamina E. Resultados: Após realizar a pesquisa de artigos em diversas bases selecionadas, foram encontradas 6 publicações na ScienceDirect, 191 na Medline e 31 na Pubmed, totalizando 222 publicações. Aplicando os critérios estabelecidos neste estudo, foi identificado 13 artigos aptos para esta revisão. O tratamento com a suplementação vitamina E pode reduzir e/ou reverter o quadro de DGHNA. Considerações finais: Diante da falta de novas opções terapêuticas mais eficazes, a vitamina E se torna uma alternativa segura e acessível, oferecendo uma perspectiva promissora para pacientes afetados pela DHGNA.
