A influência do exercício físico no funcionamento de crianças com Transtorno do Espectro Autista

Resumo

Objetivo: Analisar a influência do exercício físico no funcionamento de crianças portadoras do Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA). Métodos: Realizou-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura em bases de dados renomadas como: Pubmed, BVS e Web of Science e foram selecionados os melhores artigos com o auxílio da plataforma Rayyan. Utilizou-se as palavras-chave: “Physical exercise”; “Autism”; “Children”; “Mental disorders” e o operador booleano AND. Resultados: Foram observadas e comparadas a performance de crianças com TEA sem exercício físico e com diversas atividades diferentes como natação e lutas. As referências em estudo reforçaram o benefício de se exercitar nas atividades cognitivas, comportamentais, no sono, e no movimento dessas crianças portadoras de TEA. Conclusão: É imprescindível a prática de exercícios físicos para um melhor funcionamento em crianças com TEA, sendo, assim, uma ferramenta alternativa fundamental no tratamento do TEA.
