Uso problemático da internet para a saúde mental de crianças e adolescentes

Resumo

Objetivo: Analisar os efeitos do uso problemático da internet (UPI) na saúde mental de crianças e adolescentes. Métodos: Realizou-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura, utilizando as seguintes bases de dados: PUBMED e BVS e os seguintes descritores “Problematic Internet use” AND “Mental health” “Children” AND “Adolescents” NOT “COVID-19”. Ao final foram selecionados 19 artigos para o trabalho com o auxílio da plataforma Rayyan. Os critérios de inclusão usados foram: artigos publicados nos últimos 5 anos, escritos em línguas portuguesa, inglesa e espanhola, publicados em revistas científicas. Resultados: O UPI está relacionado com sintomas de baixa auto estima, estresse diário, baixas qualidades de vida e de sono em crianças e adolescentes. Considerações finais: Fazendo a análise dos artigos, foi possível ver os impactos negativos do UPI na vida das crianças e adolescentes. Com isso, devem ser tomadas medidas de prevenção tanto nas casas como nas escolas, para que o UPI não traga prejuízos maiores.
