Avanços e desafios no manejo da osteoartrite de joelho: terapias inovadoras e tecnologias atuais

Resumo

Objetivo: Analisar os avanços recentes no tratamento da osteoartrite (OA) do joelho, com ênfase em terapias farmacológicas e não farmacológicas inovadoras, incluindo o uso de células-tronco e tecnologias digitais. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão de narrativa de literatura, que foi construída a partir da busca artigos científicos contidos no banco de dados National Library of Medicine (Medline). Foram utilizados os descritores “pain”, “osteoarthritis” e “treatment” considerando o operador booleano “AND”. Incluíram-se ensaio clínico e estudo clínico randomizado produzidos no ano de 2024, disponíveis em português ou inglês. Resultados: Dos artigos selecionados, 3 chamam a atenção para os efeitos benéficos das tecnologias digitais, enquanto 4 deles destacam a importância da terapias biológicas. Dois dos trabalhos abordam outros tipos de terapias farmacológicas, além de que 6 artigos avaliaram impactos de medidas não farmacológicas. Considerações finais: O futuro do tratamento da OA do joelho envolve um enfoque em terapias inovadoras e personalizadas para cada paciente, considerando a evolução da doença e o perfil individual. No entanto, ainda existem desafios significativos que devem ser abordados para proporcionar melhor qualidade de vida ao paciente.
