O sedentarismo e a Covid-19

Resumo

Objetivo: Verificar o impacto da pandemia da Covid-19 sobre o estilo de vida das pessoas. Métodos: A construção desse artigo se deu por meio de pesquisas bibliográficas de abordagem qualitativa, constituindo uma revisão integrativa. As bases de dados das utilizadas foram a National Library of Medicine (PubMed) e Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS). A busca dos artigos foi realizada com o uso dos descritores “Covid-19”, “sedentary lifestyle” e “pandemic” empregando o operador booleano “and”. Resultados: A busca resultou em 844 artigos. Foram encontrados 796 artigos no PubMed e 48 no LILACS, sendo que 18 foram excluídos por fugirem do tema. Em três estudos selecionados que incluíram família (pais, mães e filhos) ou uma forma de incentivo, como videoaulas, houve menor prevalência de sedentarismo. Contudo, foi identificado, na maior parte dos estudos, que as pessoas se tornaram ou ficaram mais sedentários, seja pela diminuição das atividades físicas ou pelo aumento do tempo sentadas, bem como pelo aumento do tempo de tela. Considerações finais: Pode se considerar que houve aumento da prevalência de sedentarismo na pandemia. No entanto, a prática de atividade física foi maior quando envolvia grupos familiares ou quando guiada por videoaulas.
