A relação entre Síndrome Metabólica e risco cardiovascular em adultos obesos

Resumo
Objetivo: Analisar a associação entre a síndrome metabólica e o risco cardiovascular em adultos, identificando os principais fatores envolvidos e suas implicações clínicas na prevenção e manejo das doenças cardiovasculares. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura realizada através das bases PubMED, Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) e Periódico CAPES, usando os descritores: “Metabolic Syndrome”, “Cardiovascular Risk”, “Adults” e “Obesity” e obtendo o truncamento de pesquisa: (Metabolic Syndrome) AND (Cardiovascular Disease) AND (Cardiovascular Risk) AND (Adult) AND (Obesity). Foram encontrados 12.208 artigos, filtrados conforme critérios de inclusão (idiomas português, inglês e espanhol; período de 2020 a 2025; artigos completos) e exclusão (artigos duplicados, resumos, fora do escopo). Resultados: O perfil metabólico da obesidade, e não apenas o IMC, define o risco cardiovascular através da inflamação e resistência insulínica, exigindo avaliação abrangente e acompanhamento contínuo, pois o estado "metabolicamente saudável" pode ser transitório. Considerações finais: A avaliação do risco cardiovascular na obesidade deve ir além do IMC, priorizando a análise dos fenótipos metabólicos, inflamação e resistência insulínica.
