Influência da modulação da microbiota intestinal nos sintomas do Transtorno do Espectro Autista

Resumo

Objetivo: Analisar a modulação da microbiota intestinal e seus impactos nos sintomas do Transtorno do Espectro Autista. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa realizada, no idioma português, nas bases de dados Pubmed, Scopus e BVS. Para inclusão dos artigos foram utilizados os seguintes critérios: artigos em língua inglesa e espanhola publicados entre os anos de 2020 a 2025, com abordagem da modulação da microbiota em pessoas com TEA. Já os critérios de exclusão foram revisões sistemáticas, metanálises, artigos de opinião, teses de doutorado e dissertações. Resultados: Dos estudos selecionados, a intervenção com prebióticos, probióticos, simbióticos e/ou transplante de microbiota fecal em pessoas com TEA resultaram na alteração da microbiota intestinal, no padrão comportamental e melhora nos sintomas gastrointestinais. Considerações finais: Pode se considerar que alterações na microbiota intestinal são frequentemente observadas em indivíduos com Transtorno do Espectro Autista e estão, muitas vezes, relacionadas a sintomas gastrointestinais e comportamentais. As intervenções com probióticos, prebióticos, simbióticos e transplante de microbiota fecal surgem como estratégias promissoras.
