The professionals reported having a good professional-patient relationship and using playful measures. The guardians responded regarding the use of the toy library and the good relationship with the professionals, highlighting possible improvements. The patients mentioned how they felt in the toy library and the improvements they would like to see according to their age group. Conclusion: It is concluded that humanized care, through play, promotes better acceptance of the health-disease complex, alleviating stressors and enabling a better environment for the patient and their guardian, facilitating adherence to treatment.
2025-03-31T18:05:39+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://acervomais.com.br/index.php/saude/article/view/19492Phenotypic characterization of bacterial isolates resistant to sodium hypochlorite (0.025%) obtained from lettuce sold in the municipality of Ananindeua, state of Pará, Brazil2025-04-02T20:08:34+00:00Gabriel Silas Marinho Sousagmarinho676@gmail.comLuciana Batista Cuité Lopeslucianabclopes8@gmail.comJoão Gabriel dos Santos Souzajoaosaints15@gmail.comRodrigo Santos de Oliveirarodrigodeoliveira01@live.com
Objective: The study aimed to perform a phenotypic characterization of bacterial isolates resistant to 0.025% sodium hypochlorite obtained from lettuce samples commercialized in the metropolitan region of Belém, Brazil, assessing their resistance and antimicrobial susceptibility profiles. Methods: Lettuce samples were collected from supermarkets and open markets. Bacterial counts were conducted on Plate Count Agar supplemented with 0.025% sodium hypochlorite. Isolates were biochemically identified, and the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) was determined. Antimicrobial susceptibility tests using disk diffusion assessed resistance to antibiotics. Results: Although sodium hypochlorite reduced 99% of bacterial colonies, 84 resistant isolates were identified, primarily Gram-positive Bacilli (45%) and Enterobacteriaceae (31%), including Escherichia coli and Salmonella spp. The mean MIC was 0.1%, and three multidrug-resistant profiles were observed among Enterobacteriaceae, displaying resistance to amoxicillin and other antibiotics. A significant inverse correlation was found between the MIC and inhibition halos formed by amoxicillin (r = -0.24; p = 0.0423). Conclusion: Sodium hypochlorite at the recommended concentration is effective, but the detection of resistant and multidrug-resistant strains raises concerns about bacterial adaptation. Continuous monitoring is necessary to update sanitization protocols and safeguard public health.
2025-03-31T18:04:56+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://acervomais.com.br/index.php/saude/article/view/19278Frailty syndrome and associated factors in elderly individuals enrolled in a basic health unit2025-04-02T20:12:52+00:00Maria Emilia Marcondes Barbosaprof.mariaemilia10@gmail.comAngélica Eliza da Silveiraangelicads@outlook.comMaria Cristina Umpierrez Vieiracrisump@yahoo.com.brEvani Marques Pereiraevanimarquesp@gmail.comJuliana Rodrigues Hammjunurse2005@yahoo.com.brGiovana Frazon de Andradegfandrade@unicentro.brIria Bárbara de Oliveirairis@unicentro.brBriena Padilha Andrade Beltramebriena3@gmail.comDannyele Cristina da Silvadcsilva@unicentro.br
Objective: To identify factors associated with frailty syndrome in elderly individuals enrolled in a basic health unit. Methodos: This is a longitudinal study, part of the Extension Project “Promotion and Rehabilitation of Functionality of the Elderly for Activities of Daily Living - Phase II”, limited to elderly individuals living in the community monitored by a Basic Health Unit in the city of Guarapuava. Results: Poor sleep quality was associated with frailty in 63.5%, hypertension in 78.3%, functionality in instrumental activities of daily living in 53.7%, obesity in 64.7%, cognitive impairment in 66.6%, low level of physical activity in 77%, risk of falls in 56.3%, polypharmacy in 64.8%, fatigue in 84.5%. In motor skills, the Fine Motor Scale (Mot F) correlated with a higher family income, while the Gross Motor Scale (Mot G) showed a negative with the number of people living in the same house and pregnancy stress on pandemic. Conclusion: Routines modified by the pandemic context correlate with child development markers, mainly concerning language.
2025-03-31T17:58:20+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://acervomais.com.br/index.php/saude/article/view/19697Factors associated with resilience in elderly people with diabetes2025-04-01T15:19:36+00:00Isabelle Karine Ramos de Limalimaisabelle013@gmail.comÍtala Farias Cronembergeritala.farias@ufpe.brDanielle de Andrade Pitanga Melodanielle.pitanga@ufpe.brThaysa de Aguiar Batistathaysa.aguiar@ufpe.brAnna Karla de Oliveira Tito Borbaanna.tito@ufpe.br
Objective: To analyze the factors associated with resilience in elderly individuals with diabetes mellitus. Methods: This is a cross-sectional, analytical study with a quantitative approach, with 98 elderly individuals with diabetes treated at the outpatient clinic of a public hospital in the city of Recife, Pernambuco, northeastern Brazil. For data collection, sociodemographic variables, clinical conditions, behavioral habits and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (RISC-Br) were investigated. These practices include appropriate management of the newborn and include welcoming family members and providing guidance to the team and the family. Thus, considering that multiprofessional residencies are spaces for teaching neuroprotective practices, it is necessary to use dynamic pedagogical strategies that favor active and inclusive learning of the subject, stimulating the development of essential skills to work in NICUs in an integrated and collaborative way. Final considerations: By encouraging residents to learn, teaching activities help to improve neonatal care, with better health outcomes. The comparison of the consumption of the approaches was made considering the same disinfection points in the environment and for the same microorganisms and disinfection rates. Results: The evaluation showed that one of the approaches allowed a 64.71% reduction in electricity consumption, due to the reduction of the equipment's power to one fifth of its original value, without compromising the environment's disinfection capacity. Conclusion: This reduction is capable of enabling the use of scientifically proven equipment, since, as current equipment requires high electrical power to operate, only a few electrical outlets can supply energy to this equipment.
