Abstract
Objective: To analyze the aspects inherent to the alternative treatment of Androgenic Alopecia conditions. Bibliographic review: Androgenetic Alopecia (AAG) is the most frequent cause of continuous and progressive hair loss. Despite being a benign and very common condition, it has a marked psychosocial impact on patients, especially females, since hair loss negatively influences personal and social relationships. The treatments have evolved over time, an aspect that will be addressed in this article in order to expand the therapeutic possibilities and their information pathways. Treatments include pharmacological therapies, surgical procedures, and herbal medicine to assist in the longitudinality of care. Final considerations: The theme that covers the AAG has become increasingly important in the social and medical context. In this way, it becomes essential to encompass the problem in question, since the establishment of adequate and individualized treatment is able to reduce its consequences, whether in a psychosocial or clinical therapeutic aspect.
