Abstract
Objective: Evaluate the main diagnostic factors of Attention Deficyt Hyperactivity Disorder in child development. Methods: The methodological approach of this work proposes a compilation of bibliographical research with a qualitative, retrospective and cross-sectional approach carried out through an integrative literature review. The databases used were the National Library of Medicine (PubMed) and the Virtual Health Library (VHL). The search for articles was performed using the descriptors: “attention deficit hyperactivity“ , “disorder”, “early diagnosis”, “children” and “development”. There was the use of search filters such as open access articles, articles published in English and Portuguese. Original articles randomized and non-randomized clinical trials, case-control studies and cohort studies were included. The time frame of publication from 2018 to 2022 was an inclusion criterion. Results: The 15 selected articles assess the impacts of ADHD in early childhood and how these bad developments could be avoided. The results were evaluated, and the conclusions vary according to age, time of diagnosis and therapeutic interventions. In general, it was found that early suspicion added to appropriate therapy can benefit the development. Final Considerations: Thus, the early diagnosis of ADHD is capable of positively altering the development of children and adolescents.
