Abstract
Objective: To present the main signs and symptoms present in TCP. Methods: This is an integrative literature review, conducted with 32 articles in the national library of medicine and virtual health library databases. Descriptors used were: Central nervous system neoplasms, Brain tumor, Neurologic Manifestations. The inclusion criteria are: free full text, published between 2018-2023, observational study and case report, in adults over 19 years of age. Articles outside the topic covered were excluded. Results: The articles analyzed show predominance of manifestations, such as headache (17 articles) and visual changes (16 articles) in tumors, with most articles being diagnosed in advanced stages and with non-curative treatment. It has been shown, through observational studies, that around 25% of individuals who present with headache without an underlying cause present with neoplastic changes in confirmatory tests. Final considerations: It is considered that the main signs and symptoms of neoplasms of the central nervous system are headache, visual changes, vertigo and dysarthria, so in the event of any of these symptoms, CPT should be investigated.
