Abstract
Objective: To report a case of vulvar Paget disease, its diagnosis, management and follow-up. Case detail: It reports a case of a 76-year-old patient, hypertensive and diabetic, who sought the primary health care network complaining of pruritus and an erythematous and scaly lesion in the vulvar and perianal region for 3 years, was initially treated for lichen sclerosus, no better. She then performed a biopsy of the lesion with an anatomopathological report as an intraepidermal malignant neoplasm in situ. She was referred to the reference service where she underwent a partial lower vulvectomy and, after anatomopathological and immunohistochemical results of the surgical specimen, was diagnosed with vulvar Paget disease. Maintains semiannual follow-up. Final considerations: Health professionals should be alert to signs and symptoms suggestive of vulvar Paget's disease, since, in most cases, there is a delay in making the diagnosis and initiating the appropriate treatment. In this context, early diagnosis is extremely important, as it precipitates treatment and can prevent the progression and dissemination of the disease and its complications.
