Abstract
Objective: Describe the case of a pleomorphic adenoma that was followed up in a city in the interior of the State of São Paulo. Case detail: A 42-year-old female who sought care in the city of Franca for the evaluation of a nodule in the periauricular region with approximately 3 and a half years of evolution. After detailed investigation with imaging and laboratory tests, it became clear that it was a pleomorphic adenoma of the intercalated parotid duct, which was subsequently excised. Final considerations: Parotid adenoma is a benign rare neoplasm, found in 1 in every 100,000 cases. It affects women more frequently with a peak age of 45 years and its main clinical manifestation is an increase the region of the affected gland. Its diagnosis is made from the clinical history, physical exams, imaging and biopsy. Finally, surgical excision was the treatment of choice.
