Abstract
Objective: Review in the literature the pattern of complications that patients who underwent rhinoplasty presented after their operations, specifically in relation to the etiological type of the patient and the surgical indication. Methods: Using the Boolean operator “and”, the terms “Rhinoplasty”, “Postoperative Complications” and “Surgery, Plastic” were used to search for articles in the National Library of Medicine, Virtual Health Library and Directory of Open Access Journals. Inclusion criteria were randomized, non-randomized clinical trials, case-control studies, cohort study, free access, published in English, Portuguese, Spanish and between 2017 and 2022. Results: The nine selected articles were evaluated. rhinoplasty postoperative complications, and a comparative table was constructed, which is composed of the surgical indication, number of individuals covered in the studies, year of publication and age of the individuals evaluated as presented. Final considerations: Thus, it was noticed that edema is described as the main complication after rhinoplasty surgery. Furthermore, the most obvious indication that they occur is based on the 20-65 age group, which is the most common.
