Abstract
Objective: To investigate and present the main factors related to mental disorders in nursing professionals resulting from the 2020 pandemic related to COVID-19. Methods: This is an integrative review that used PubMed, LILACS and Scielo as a scientific search base. With searches in the last 3 years. Results: The main disorders resulting from the pandemic in nursing professionals found were: Burnout, depression, anxiety, stress, followed by less common disorders such as PTSD and panic disorder. The listed triggers were: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, insomnia, fatigue, nervousness related to the propensity for COVID-19 infection, excessive workload. It should be noted that the number of articles related to the topic has been growing during the period of 2022, mainly because it is a year where there is a decline in the transmission rate and contagion by COVID-19 in the world, allowing new studies. Final considerations: Although psychological disorders have been gradually accepted during the pandemic period, it is possible to implement actions that can be improved in favor of the mental health of these professionals, such as financial and organizational incentives that contribute to improving the safety and comfort of nursing.
