Abstract

Objective: To analyze the quality of life of Pilates Method practitioners who experience non-specific low back pain. Methods: This is an observational cross-sectional analytical study, carried out with 37 individuals, of both sexes, aged 18 to 80 years. Users were investigated using the SF-36 quality of life questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics where they were organized, summarized and presented in the form of tables with absolute and relative frequencies. Results: The functional capacity domain showed better performance with an average (µ = 79.32). When analyzing the correlation between the General Score - SF 36 and the number of pilates sessions, it appears that the correlation is positive (Kendall's Tau-B = 0.217), indicating that a greater number of pilates sessions is associated with a better quality of life score. Conclusion: It is concluded that continuing and increasing Pilates sessions can bring greater benefits. These findings highlight the importance of well-structured exercise programs, such as Pilates, to improve the health, vitality and health balance of patients across different age ranges and with diverse health conditions.
