Abstract

Objective: Investigate the use of the Perme scale as an assessment tool in the Intensive Care Units (ICU). Methods: This is an integrative literature review with search for articles in the PubMed, PEDro, Medline, EMBASE and SciELO databases from December 2020 to March 2021. in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Results: Four articles were selected and discussed, all of which were dated 2019 and 2020, being three prospective longitudinals and one non-randomized controlled clinical trial. The samples included 18 to 33 patients, aged between 58 and 64 years. Final considerations: In this current study, shows that the Perme scale, although it is an instrument capable of measuring the improvement of mobility in critically ill patients, enabling prognoses, supporting possible therapeutic strategies individually with the objective of recovering and maintaining the maximum level of mobility until the moment of discharge from the hospital ICU seems to be little used for functional kinetic diagnosis and therapeutic prescription.
