Abstract
Objective: To verify the evidence on the characteristics of the scientific disease for tuberculosis. Methods: Integrative literature review, searching the SCIELO, PUBMED, LILACS and MEDLINE databases for articles published in the last five years. The information was analyzed through pre-analysis, exploration of the material, data processing and data interpretation, being exposed in a table. Results: Eleven articles matching our objective were found. Renal tissue is the preferred site for colonization by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, being the region with the greatest lesion, exhibiting caseous necrosis, with consequent local tissue damage and destruction in the leg. The lesion starts in the cortex, with posterior migration of the bacilli to the cortico-medullary posteriori, producing cortico-medullary granulomas that are stable for many years. Final considerations: It was possible to observe that, in most cases, cases that survived the pseudotumoral form evolved, however. Based on these data related to this topic is necessary.
