Abstract
Objective: To analyze the literature on Nursing care in the prevention of teenage pregnancy. Methods: The literature search was performed in October 2021, in the following databases: Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, Nursing Database, at the Scientific Electronic Library Virtual Library Online. The Descriptors in Health Sciences were used: Nursing Care, Nurses, Adolescent, Pregnancy and Adolescent Pregnancy. Results: In this review, 10 articles were selected. It was evidenced that early pregnancy in young people is related to the vulnerabilities they are subject to at this stage of life, such as the use of alcohol and illicit drugs. Other associated problems are characterized by family friction, low social, economic, financial and educational level. Final considerations: Articles were identified that discussed the theme of teenage pregnancy, highlighting the consequences, the impacts on society and the preventive care provided by Nursing. The importance of the Nurse's role in monitoring the health of adolescents is reinforced, with a careful and holistic view.
