Abstract

Objective: To address the importance of the psychologist in the school inclusion of the autistic, aiming to understand the interventions and actions to achieve a more adequate practice. Bibliographic review: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental disorder that causes damage to the conversation and coexistence of the autistic individual with the other. Thus, it is essential to mediate a qualified team for the improvement of these areas, including a psychologist to assist in the school inclusion of students with autism. Therefore, this article is a bibliographic review of literature that discusses the inclusion of autistic students in the school context and the importance of the psychologist in this process of inclusion of the autistic. It is also essential to analyze why the school is not the most appropriate environment, however, necessary for the development of this student with special needs. Final considerations: The psychologist is essential in the inclusion of the autistic student in the school context, however, there are still few studies on the subject. It is suggested that deeper studies be carried out in order to facilitate the inclusion of autistic people in schools.
