Abstract

Objective: To analyze the performance of the nursing team in the face of the humanization of childbirth. Methods: Integrative literature review study. Data obtained from scientific articles published in Portuguese, in the period between 2016 and 2021, were analyzed in the following databases: Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences, Nursing Database and in the Virtual Library Scientific Electronic Library Online via Library Health Virtual. Results: The selected studies show that most nursing professionals provide humanized care to parturients, since they do not perform interventionist approaches and provide, through individualized care, the role of women themselves in their labor. Final considerations: It was found that women feel much more welcomed and well cared for by the nursing team that provides them with holistic care, through their practices aimed at the humanization of procedures, thus contributing to the appreciation of this type of care.
