Abstract

Objective: To review the literature on the vulnerabilities faced by nursing professionals during the notification of interpersonal violence, within the scope of Primary Health Care (PHC). Bibliographic review: Data indicate that urban violence in Brazil has increased significantly in recent years, however the number of reports of violence does not correspond to the reality of Brazilian regions. The underreporting of cases of violence in PHC is a reflection of insecurity in the country, making it difficult to face it. The nurse appears as the worker who suffers the most violence related to their place of exercise and is the one who spends the most time interacting with the patient and companion. From this, most of the analyzed texts report that the lack of security and vulnerability of nurses are significant generators of underreporting. Final considerations: Regarding the measures to combat the insecurity of nurses in PHC presented in the texts, the same violence that affects the population, also affects workers, and because of this, it becomes an obstacle for notifications of violence.
