Abstract

Objective: To analyze through an integrative literature review the interrelationship of enamel hypoplasia in anterior teeth and its aesthetic interference in affected patients. Methods: This is an integrative literature review using the following databases for research: Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS), U.S National Library of Medicine (PUBMED) and Latin American Center and the Caribbean on Health Sciences Information (BIREME), covering studies published between the years 2013 to 2022 and excluding studies that were not published in a scientific journal, the sample being composed of 12 articles. Results: The year 2013 was significant among the other years of the sample studies (41.6%), the main methodology used among the studies was the case report and the scientific journal with the greatest evidence was General Dentistry (33.3 %). Final considerations: The literature review was able to achieve its objective, expressing clinical case reports with positive outcomes, where the patient's aesthetics could be restructured through the application of composite resins.
